“Craig Clifford, the owner of Pacifica Remodeling, remodeled both my parent’s home and ours. We started using Craig when my parents, for whom he built a gorgeous sunroom where they spend much of their time, said that there was no other choice than to use him for our kitchen and living room remodel. Craig embodies all the qualities you want in a General Contractor: integrity, customer service, expertise and craftsmanship.

Craig’s integrity is absolute. He always keeps his word. Everything happens when and how he says it will. Craig does not go back on his word. He stands behind everything he does, and we know this from personal experience. We trust him so much that he still has the keys to our house, from when he first worked for us in 2004.

Craig’s customer service has always been excellent. His communication has always been timely and thorough. We were kept well informed as to what would be happening, why it would be happening, and when. He has taken excellent care of our home during every step of every project he has done for us; the work area is always kept clean and all surfaces are thoroughly protected. He is always on site to make sure that his subcontractors understand and deliver the quality of work he promised us. There was a problem with the quality of the kitchen cabinets my husband and I ordered from Home Depot. Craig worked tirelessly for weeks, at his own expense, with Home Depot and the manufacturer to try and get cabinets of the same quality we had seen in the showroom. It finally proved impossible to obtain the quality that Craig was willing to accept. He aggressively pursued Home Depot Corporation until he obtained a complete refund for us. The whole remodeling experience was so pleasant that he is now a friend and a member of the family, attending weddings, and all our significant events.

Craig stays current with the most recent construction practices and materials, and will research the best applications for specific complicated projects. The work he first did for us eight years ago is still in excellent condition.

Craig has a Masters in Art. He worked as a jewelry designer and goldsmith before becoming a General Contractor and it shows in his work. He has an excellent eye for detail and no item is too small to escape his attention. Craig’s craftsmanship is meticulous. We could not be more pleased with his work.

He has remodeled many parts of my home in Point Loma. He remodeled my bathroom, built my 1,000-square-foot deck, removed walls, widened doorways, installed windows and built a white board fence along the front yard of my home.

His work is impeccable. I can leave him alone in my home without worry. He is extremely neat and organized. Plus, he is always on time and cleans up after he is finished every day. He has good follow through and keeps you informed daily as to how the job is progressing. He presents you a full and complete contract as to the scope of work is to be performed.

We had quite an extensive bathroom remodel planned and after seeing his workmanship at my best friend’s house and hearing from an employee at the store where I ordered my tile that they knew his work was excellent, I chose to use Craig.

I was extremely pleased with his work and the final outcome of the remodel. We are very meticulous people and were concerned about the drywall dust and debris in the house, where we lived, during this messy process. Also, we had hard wood floors which run throughout the house and with the construction and demolition would be underfoot of the workers.

Craig carefully placed plywood over all our floors to protect them and placed visqueen on the walls to keep the dust out of the other rooms we were living in. His workmanship and careful attention to detail is commendable.

“I wanted to commend Craig for the beautiful craftsmanship on the solid redwood pergola he had built for us, over a decade ago. I recall how wonderfully we worked together on creating the design of the structure. Craig had recommended using large redwood posts, to make the piece much more substantial and support the weight of the growing wisteria.

Craig came up with the idea of hiding all the fasteners, and incorporating them into the construction and design of the piece. That element alone makes it stand-alone from all the others I’ve seen. When I came up with the idea of staining the entire structure a washed grey, he immediately came up with all the correct finishes to use, to make it look decades old and withstand the elements.
